January 14, 2014 - The supreme court refused to hear an appeal of a law attempting to revive a ban on abortions in Arizona regarding pregnancies over twenty eighteen weeks gestation. This may have major implications moving forward, particularly in Georgia and Idaho who have similar cases pending, and maybe even affect the laws in extremely anti-abortion states like Texas or South Dakota. The pro-life side remains active, however, insisting on the relevance of issues like fetal pain instead of examining the circumstances that would make a woman choose an abortion and working to improve her circumstances so she may not find herself in such a situation.
