January 13, 2014 - I'm kinda wary of many pharmaceutical products, and think the advertising of many such products is borderline irresponsible. Suggesting things like low sex drive or low testosterone in men is necessarily a bad thing, for example, is not something I'm sure I particularly agree with. What's even more problematic about this though is that as you may notice these products are very obviously targeted at men. Meanwhile there's a lot of discomfort people seem to have discussing female sex drive, and as this article points out the first product that could improve female sex drive was not approved by the FDA despite one researcher's estimate that 24 such products exist for men. I don't know if we need such products on the market to begin with, but if they're going to exist, shouldn't there be as many options for women as there are for men? Women certainly enjoy sex, too, after all.
