January 15, 2014 - CNN reported that viewers of MTV's "16 and pregnant" and "Teen Mom" series are more likely to make responsible decisions about sex and pregnancy. This is kind of interesting and something I was curious about as the commercials never seemed to me to glamorize teenage pregnancy as much as critics of the programs have stated. Conversely it's worth considering a 2008 study indicated that teens watching "sexually charged" shows were more likely to have sex, and indeed this new study doesn't allay concerns about that element just that teens engaging in sexual activity are seemingly more responsible about it.
