September 6, 2013 - Finished the comic before midnight! Of course it's still late because I have to write this but I'm going to try to have something up at midnight from here out because people seem to prefer that.

I'd wanted to do a storyline involving virginity since early in the comic, and though Ellie wasn't initially intended as a virgin when the first storyline went up it began to make sense for the character and became part of her backstory. I generally hate how much media representations of virginity seem to mention it only as a means to have a character lose their virginity and then never really consider some conversation of what virginity means or what more can be done with the concept. I'm deeply disappointed that Bunheads was cancelled because the finale began a storyline that looked to deal with this topic from a broader, more sensitive, and more complicated viewpoint than anything I've really seen, but instead I'll just have to hope such ideas can appear in the creators' next series.
