December 18, 2012 - To a large extent I kinda feel Ellie has begun to represent stereotypical feminity and all the problems strict adherence to such a gender role entails. There are nice things about gender roles too to be sure (cuz for example pink is a pretty awesome color and shouldn't be relegated to "girls only"), but for the most part a less rigid approach to appropriate behavior for her gender (if not complete abandonment of such roles) would probably better serve attempts to achieve her interests and not force someone like Dr. Gregory to adopt a similarly rigid gender role of becoming her advocat.
