August 17, 2012 - If my calculations are correct, I think this is the 100th comic (or Monday's depending on how you look at it). I guess it's a cool milestone? Don't think there's much to say about reaching it. Obviously I'm not letting it dictate the content of the comic.

Anyway, Philip's role here isn't intended to come off as if Jennifer can't handle this situation for herself. He's trying to be supportive rather than controlling, and really I just wanted Jennifer to have someone to talk to in the upcoming comics. Obviously I have some concern it may not come off that way, but the hero-damsel gender roles are a common and problematic dynamic in a lot of media that I don't completely want to shy away from addressing. This isn't really the storyline I want to use to address it though, which is all I'm trying to say.

On another note, the CDC released a bunch of statistics regarding sexual behavior. They claim the findings aren't all that surprising and I'm inclined to agree with them. But the CDC analysts stress a lack of awareness of the dangers of oral sex which I thought were worth mentioning. Most importantly that gonorrhea can be transmitted orally and is becoming increasingly resistant to treatment with the potential to shortly become untreatable.

So yeah... I guess that's all I have to say. Have good weekend. See you Monday.
