February 28, 2014 - There's a lot going on with abortion laws right now in Arizona, Oklahoma, and Spain. Most of it is super depressing, and what's even worse is this Daily Beast article discussing all the problems persisting educating and providing job security for doctors willing to provide abortions. I strongly believe abortion training should be mandatory for all OB-GYNs and if you want public funding for a hospital that has OB-GYNs on staff you must be willing to provide abortions or at least offer admitting privileges to abortion providers. Unfortunately that isn't what the laws are, but I think changing the laws to reflect this idea would be a great cause to rally behind.
