October 25, 2013 - This is Margot Nelson and her fiance, Ken Dawley (he should probably consider taking her name). While the rest of the staff has been occupied at the hospital, it's not like people will stop seeking abortions in the interim. This situation is meant to have some obvious paralells with the increased attempts to over-regulate and close down abortion clinics without any acknowledgement that such limitations has no effect on the people seeking abortions or abortion rates (just safety).

Meanwhile, a case is developing in Wisconsin where a pregnant woman is being charged with child endangerment for taking unprescribed medication. This has the potential to bring to question the constitutionality of "personhood" laws and doctor/patient confidentiality. It will be interesting to see how the courts address people with drug problems who become pregnant, and the idea has me interested in developing a plot for the comic investigating the complexity of idea in more depth (but with the next few storylines planned, this will take months to get to).
