October 10, 2013 - I could have posted this blog yesterday, and it really should be read in conjunction with that comic, but the fact of the matter is relationships change. What may have seemed like a good idea at one time (like having unprotected sex) may not seem like such a great idea later and the consequences of such a decision are neither equal to all parties involved nor readily apparent when the initial decision is made. As a result people may lie about current circumstances in disregard of future circumstances to get what they want out of a current situation. Unfortunately one party can easily tell the other he or she is committed and turn and abandon that party, or one party can lie about taking precautions when he or she has not. The hypothetical circumstances are endless which is why in my opinion it's generally important to examine how much you can trust an individual before making decisions involving such an individual, but then again people can often lie about that trust as well. And ignoring this idea just because you wouldn't do it or haven't experienced it, doesn't change others' dishonesty. I still have no idea how to handle such deception and am extremely skeptical of people claiming to have answers. In the absence of answers though, that's why I think it's really important to have options, which of course is the theme of tomorrow's comic after which this short storyline concludes and we go back to Star.

In the meantine, Emily has another new article.
