June 21, 2013 - It's kind of interesting to consider that as recently as sixty years ago it was extremely rare that a couple would have sex before meeting each other's family (keep in mind that social norms at the time generally looked down upon premarital sex and the average age of newlyweds was much lower), now I imagine it's more likely couples have sex before meeting each other's family. Both represent significant relationship milestones and both have conflicting opinions on how early such milestones should be reached. In this instance I kinda like that Philip is pushing for family and Patience is pushing for sex considering that gender stereotypes would suggest the inverse would occur.
