May 3, 2013 - I initially drew Nina crying in panel 4, but I think that was a little overkill. The sacrifices and difficulty of her situation should be pretty obvious despite how much abortion opponents seem to overlook the hardships pregnancy may cause emotionally, financially, and to one's health. Being pregnant has the potential to threaten all aspects of one's quality of life, and such hardships aren't always self-imposed. Take for example
this situation where a woman faced discrimination at her job and ultimately lost it for reasons that appear almost entirely related to her becoming pregnant. Until pregnancies can take place without such problematic aspects or an alternative to pregnancy (rather than parenting) exists, I can't support an argument limiting the options of how a woman may choose to handle her pregnancy.
