May 1, 2013 - I've been kinda nervous that Patience may come off as little more than a romantic foil for Jennifer or someone tied to being defined by such a relationship and wanted to a comic suggesting that she's considerably more complex, cuz everyone is. Her relationship with Philip is just aspect of her character, and there's a lot more going on with her.

Meanwhile the FDA is still insisting on people requesting Plan-B be over 15 and present identification. This still doesn't help people that may get pregnant before the age of fifteen, and furthermore most teenagers don't get photo ID until (slash if) they get a driver's license. This decision really seems to fly in the face of the intent of the ruling that was to make this available without restriction. Yes, Plan-B now will be more available, but it's not as available as it could, and really should, be.

Also considering this storyline has mostly been about parental consent, I might as well bring to light this disturbing story about a woman who coerced her teenage adopted daughter to get pregnant through artificial insemination. Though I'd like to believe most parents do make the right decisions raising their children, clearly all parents don't always know best, so a law assuming they do, fails to protect all children.
