March 22, 2013 - Fr. Dante was a character I originally created for another project entirely about angels and demons battling on earth or something (I can't really remember, it's been a while, I just know it was an excuse to give a priest a gun cuz I thought it'd be cool). So far I've made a conscious effort not to show Fr. Dante as a protestor. I actually like to think of him as not a bad guy, just someone who toes the company line and hasn't given a lot of thought to some of the complexities of human nature. The church in general's kind of another story entirely though, and I do intend to do a bit more with Fr. Dante questioning where the line falls between his faith and his obedience to rigid church doctrines.

This is maybe a baby step in realizing how backwards and hypocritical some of the differences between the church's teachings and the church's actions can be.
