January 8, 2013 - In other news,
TIME magazine is running a cover story on how the pro-choice movement has largely failed since Roe v. Wade. I haven't read it, but I want to. And it certainly should be interesting. I'm hopeful it shows up online in its entirety next week (judging how the article is dated Jan. 14th) to non-subscribers but I don't really know how their publishing model works.
Also the family of the woman in India who fell victim to that horrific assault has
gone public with her identity. I feel it's important to come forward with such information as it humanizes a tragic victim beyond a mere statistic, and even though the characters in my comic are fictional, giving perspective patients a name and a story is a large part of my comic.
Also the enliven project posted
this image. I'm fairly dubious of their data collection, and in briefly looking over their sources I found that
this graphic I made (same color scheme, sorry for the lack of labels), which still bad, is likely more accurate. But you can tell the enliven project's data is suspect when the falsely accused is in the unreported category.
