August 21, 2012 - Much like her husband, the woman to whom Jennifer is speaking very specifically doesn't have a name, and her husband is both dishonest and has a fairly severe drinking problem which he's somehow kept from his wife. Meanwhile, in response to Todd Akin's insensitive comments on rape, Congressman Steve King has made a pretty boneheaded remark himself where he says regarding pregnancies resulting from statutory rape and incest quote: "Well I just haven't heard of that being a circumstance that's been brought to me in any personal way, and I'd be open to discussion about that subject matter." Obviously his "personal way" disclaimer allows him some backpedaling leeway, but overall suggests he's severely out of touch with the subject matter. And research suggests that statutory rape is the cause of roughly 50% OF PREGNANCIES INVOLVING MINORS!
