July 3, 2012 - Sorry yesterday's comic was technically so late. I made a few mistakes in coding the site and didn't realize them until an hour and a half after I thought I'd posted the comic (meanwhile the image of the shirt below is making this blog area a bit funky looking, but I don't know how to fix it).

Anyway, today marks the strips' second abortion. I've read conflicting information over whether surgical procedures are more common than non-surgical procedures in the US, but frankly the method depicted above which you can read about in the "decription of services and options" link on the sidebar, seems way preferable to a surgical abortion (even if it does involve a scary needle). I think my conflicting information may be a result of reading one description describing world statistics on abortion and another talking specifically about the United States. Either way, non-surgical options aren't always available in every state due to restrictions on some of the drugs used in the procedure, which is pretty ridiculous but an unfortunate truth. Hopefully legislation will make such a procedure available to everyone, even though for now things constantly seem to be getting worse politically.
