August 7, 2012 - So in case it's not obvious by this strip, the theme of this plotline basically centers on partner notification. It'd be great if we lived in a world where men always respected a woman's choice and such a conversation was easy (you could also argue it'd be at least fair if the consequences for unintended pregnancies were equal to men what they are for women), but we do not live in this world (either of them). For better or for worse the burden of choice really does fall on the woman if she gets pregnant, and though I don't necessarily want to advocate Megan's point of view (though she has her reasons which I do feel are legitimate), every woman has the freedom to tell or not to tell their partner any of her emotions (including those related to an unintended pregnancy). | |||
