So far I haven't done much regarding protestors. Honestly my exposure to pro-life protestors has been extremely limited with one of the more memorable incidents involving just noticing a short, balding, dumpy-looking, non-threatening man standing alone outside the clinic within walking distance of my college, USC, in downtown Los Angeles. He wore a sandwich board with Bible verses, and I don't think he did much to deter anyone as I didn't notice him speak a word to anyone. What he did do was make me aware of the location of the clinic which I otherwise would have walked pass without a thought (and had been for months). My experience is probably pretty unique to California and Los Angeles in particular, but it doesn't mean that much larger protest movements don't exist elsewhere. In fact I'm pretty sure they do.

I intend to address the protest movement more in depth in future storylines, but I wanted to start with a small core group of characters before expanding to include prominent activist opponents.

For now, I'm glad Amanda was willing to draw this strip for today to address some of the feelings I have regarding pro-life protest. She did an amazing job.
