April 12, 2012 - Yup, Mary's religious, not that that impacts her feelings about abortion. Despite many supposed religious doctorines to the contrary I don't really feel support for the pro-choice movement precludes one from being religious. I've always found religious beliefs about the sanctity of life and all the arguments regarding when that life to be created to be a very personal ideology. Because of my personal beliefs I personally never want to have to make a choice regarding abortion. But I don't think any woman wants to have an abortion if they can avoid it. And personally I've never had to make that choice myself so I can't judge people that have. It's their decision. So likewise just because it's not a choice Mary'd make doesn't mean she forces her will and judgment on others. Judge not lest ye be judged and all that, not that I think anyone should put much faith behind any Biblical quotes. I just find it funny that the ones who do typically are quite discriminatory in the quotes to which they adhere. | ||
